Los principales cambios de este año son que se contará con una orquesta sinfónica en vivo, se añade una nueva categoría para juegos de estudiantes y se dividieron otras, teniendo por separado a diseño en sonido y banda sonora, y juego móvil y para portátiles.
También este año el público podrá influir en las votaciones de todas las categorías, aunque solo en un 10%, con el 90% de las votaciones viniendo de la prensa. Los votos podrán enviarse por Mensaje Directo en Twitter, Facebook Messenger, e incluso por la barra de búsqueda de Google.
