A principios del mes de diciembre, la plataforma de streaming internacional para anime, Crunchyroll, anunció la que sería una de sus mayores adquisiciones a día de hoy.
VIZ Media, la distribuidora más grande de Europa fue absorbida por la empresa y con ella, semanas después, llegan las primeras licencias oficiales que se suman al catálogo (dividido por regiones) de la página.

En un comunicado oficial (vía ComicBook), la compañía anunció la llegada de concretamente 18 nuevas series que pertenecían a la marca VIZ para su emisión a los suscriptores de la plataforma.
Su adición, comenzará a regir desde este próximo 19 de diciembre en regiones seleccionadas, para posteriormente ver su expansión.-
